THE "MINI" SEASON

Early summer is the season of the mini fruit in Sicily.  Usually mini pears are the first to appear but yesterday I found these delightful little peaches:



It occurred to me that maybe they don't look all that mini in the dish so I put one next to a normal-sized nectarine:

I am anxiously awaiting donut peach season! Now those are especially good when they come from Sicily (the ones from Spain can not compare).

Oh yes very "mini" but I am sure that it tasted just as good... :-)

Never seen the small versions on sale around here! Our fruit seems very late ripening this year, we were gearing up for the cherry harvest this time last year.

I love peaaches those are beautiful.. Last summer I made Peach liquore out of some south carolina peaches, deadly..smiles Thank you so much for the Sweetest Blog Award.. Would have Said Thanks earlier but I have been with out internet. Finally repaired today God Bless....
